Chapter 1 and 2

In the book Wonder, there is a boy named August who has a facial deformity. He loves outer space and Halloween. He loves Star Wars too. He wants to be an astronaut when he grows up.  He has a sister named Via, short for Olivia. His mom is named Isabelle and his dad is named Nate. He has a dog named Daisy.  His mom has home schooled him but now he is going to start 5^th grade at public school.

 

Chapter 3 and 4

In chapter 3 and 4 August is in his car with his mom dad and Via. August and Via are asleep. August’s mom and dad are talking about Auggie going to public school when Auggie wakes up and hears them talking. Auggie is listening when his dad sees him in the rear view mirror. August’s dad tells Auggie to go back to sleep but Auggie has a lot of questions. August is asks what they were talking about. His mom says just some stuff. August asks is it about school because I’m not going. His dad says “come on Auggie it will be good for you”. Auggie start to cry “but no one will look like me and no one will want to be my friend”. His mom says well can you at lest go to the tour of the school You will get to meet the principle his name is Mr Tushman. Mr Tushman? Auggie said. Yes, his name is Mr Tushman his dad said laughing. So, can you at lest meet him. Auggie says fine.

 

Chapter 5 and 6

In this chapter August agrees to meet Mr Tushman. Mr Tushman has an assistant named Mrs Garcia. She is a nice lady. August go’s in Mr Tushman’s office. August and his mom are talking when Auggie hears kid. Mr Tushman why are there kids in the hallway. Mr Tushman said that they were going to give Auggie a tour of the school. Auggie looked at his mom Auggie was not happy about this. The kid who were giving the tour was a boy named Jack will, Julian and a girl named Charlotte. They all said hi but tried not to make eye contact with Auggie.

 

Chapter 7 and 8

In this chapter Auggie goes on a tour of the school. He is a little scared. Julian, Jack will and Charlotte were showing Auggie around when Julian asks a question Auggie what up with you face were you in a fire or something Julian asks charlotte says Julian that rude. What Mr Tushman said we could asks question. Ya not rude question. Jack will says Julian how about you shut up Julian says you shut up Charlotte says how about we all shut up.

Chapter 9 and 10

In this chapter Auggie get back to Mr Tushman’s office and Jack, Julian, Charlotte did not know were to go so they stood by the door. Mr Tushman was talking to Auggie and his mom. Did they show you the gym Mr Tushman asked yes Auggie said. Charlotte said oh we forgot to show him the art room do you want to see it now. Auggie said hey mom don’t we have to go pick up Via? Oh ya that right said his mom. That there code word for can we go now. When they left Auggie mom said so how was it and Auggie said not yet mom not yet when they got home Auggie went right to his room there dog Daisy followed him to his room. Auggie mom said are you ok. Ya there was a kid named Julian that was like. Were  you in a fire or something. His mom then said Sorry I that he was nice. It’s ok I do want to go to school though. Really Auggie that’s great his mom said.

During this time I have had so much time with my family, we have had lots of movie nights. I have learned how to cook so many foods. I have been getting in better shape by going to a conditioning camp with Lamar McGriggs, he was a football player but retired. I get more time outside and play with my brother. I get to hang out with my friends less but I still see a few. I have not seen many of my school friends though. I get to talk to my cousins that live in Calgary sometimes too. I have learned the name and location of all 50 states in the U.S. as well as all the provinces, territories and their capital cities.

I like being at home because I get to spend more time with my family. I like learning how to do work around the house. I get to see some of my friends more.

I miss seeing my school friends and my teachers. I miss school, I think it is easier to learn at school. I miss playing sports, especially hockey. I miss seeing my grandparents. We have only had a few visits outside.

For me, being at home has been more good than bad and more easy than hard but I am happy that some stuff will go back to normal.

There were two baby deer in my backyard in the past two weeks. The first one my dad thought was a cat but when we got closer, we realized it was a baby deer. It was hot out and the fawn was curled up in the shade. We saw the fawn at 4:30 in the afternoon. He was about 2 feet tall and was only a few days old. He was not there for too long, he stayed the night and was gone by the morning. The second fawn was here last Thursday. This one was smaller than the first one and was a newborn. My mom and I saw it get under our fence. It was a little cool out and it was 4:00 in the afternoon. In the evening, my friend’s brother came to see it and the baby deer was laying down. A few minutes later it stood up so my friend and I went to go check it out and it started to follow us around my yard. Then what we all thought was the mom came and the fawn and mom were touching noses through the fence. After a while, the fawn got through the fence and was following the mom. Then the mom turned around and was nosing the fawn and then the mom stomped on the fawn! My mom and I chased the big deer away and went to see if the fawn was okay. It wasn’t moving but was breathing so my mom called Wildlife Conservation while I went to get my dad. The lady from Wildlife Conservation said that the big deer wouldn’t have been the mom and that sometimes deer try to scare fawns away when they follow the wrong mom. She said to poke the deer to make sure it could get up. After a while, it got up and ran back into our yard. It stayed there until the next morning.

I like that the babies have been coming into our yard and hope that we get to see more. They’re so cute and fun to watch because they can’t walk very well but they try super hard. I was scared when the big deer stomped on the fawn but was happy that we could help it and that it was okay. A few days ago, my friend and I were walking around in our back forest and saw three fawns with their moms so I know that the two that were in my yard are with their moms again.

Conde mon grandpa était jeune la famille possédait un ferme dans British Columbia. Pendant le 2eme guerre mondiale (WWII), dans 1942, mon grandpa est sa famille était envoyé dans un camp d’inhumation par le gouvernement. On leur a donné le choix entre vivre dans Manitoba et Saskatchewan et il a choisi Manitoba.

Mon nom est Japanese cela signifie eternal beauty.

 

I am unique because I am one quarter Japanese. My mom’s grandparents were born in Japan and my grandpa was born in British Columbia. When my grandpa was young, his family owned a farm in British Columbia. During World War II, in 1942, my grandpa and his family were sent to an internment camp by the government. They took away their farm and told them to pick between living in Saskatchewan or Manitoba and they picked Manitoba.

My name is Japanese and means eternal beauty.

 

Mon passions est Le Hockey pas a que J’ai joue les Hockey pour  7 ans. J’ai joue les garçon pour 3 ans est les fille pour 4 ans. Je suis un défense dans la hiver est la avant dans la printemps.  Jai joue sur la équipé de Polar Bears. Dans sa saison own a perdu  un jeu.

5 thing you should know about me

My birthday is February 1st and I’m 11 now. I have a brother who is 13 and we get along 95% of the time. I have a pink stuffy monkey who goes by the name Lucy. I got her when I was a baby. I love hockey and play defense in the winter and forward in the spring I don’t know which one I like better. I was bit by a dog when I was 6 and had to get stitches. I still love dogs but I don’t have one.

Mon anniversaire est le 1er février et j’ai 11 ans maintenant. J’ai un frère qui a 13 ans et nous nous entendons 95% du temps. J’ai un singe rose bousille qui s’appelle Lucy. Je l’ai eue quand j’étais bébé. J’adore le hockey et jouer en défense en hiver et en avant au printemps, je ne sais pas lequel j’aime le mieux. J’ai été mordu par un chien quand j’avais 6 ans et a dû obtenir des points de suture. J’aime toujours les chiens, mais je n’en ai pas.
